New Van for Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire Thanks to $45,000 OTF Grant


New Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle to Connect People to Community

Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire unveiled a new wheelchair accessible vehicle today, thanks to a $45,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson visited Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire and congratulated the group on their new wheels.

The OTF grant was used to purchase a state of the art wheelchair accessible van that will help ensure that all people are part of their community regardless of accessibility issues. The van will also be shared with partner organizations ensuring that the individuals that they support can benefit and take part in various community activities and celebrations.

ABOUT

Established in 1955, Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire provides services to over 150 individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. The organization provides supports in the areas of residential, independent living, employment , transitional aged youth, day program, advocacy, and Children Services. Community Living Timmins Integration Communautaire’s primary goal is that all people live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively.
