On January 12th, 2012, Kevin set up part of his hockey collection at the OPP detachment thinking that he was going to have a quick interview to give a quick glimpse into his life. What Kevin did not realize was the extent of the coverage that the OPP had arranged for Kevin to celebrate his achievements. Within minutes the room was filled with members from Community Living, two television stations, as well as members of the press from radio stations and newspapers.
It was revealed to everyone present that Kevin had joined the OPP as a work location in 1998 and has been a dedicated employee since working in the function as the washman for the South Porcupine Detachment. Kevin works for the OPP on Tuesdays and Thursdays and cleans three vehicles per shift. Doing the math Kevin has cleaned just shy of 4000 vehicles over the years. One of the officers on duty proudly stated ‘if you see a car that is gleaming and driving around town, that car has been cleaned by Kevin”.
Kevin is a great example of success of an individual that works hard for everything he does and his work ethic is contagious.
Thank you and congradulations Kevin!!!
