Our Mission Statement: That all person’s live in a state of dignity, share in all the elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively.

Community Living Timmins Intégration Communautaire provides services and supports to over 200 individuals with an intellectual disability and their families, throughout Timmins and area. Founded in 1955 by a group of parents who were concerned with the lack of services available locally. Their first endeavour was to establish a school for children. Since then, Community Living Timmins Intégration Communautaire has grown to provide a variety of services and supports including:

  • Six Group Homes: which strive to accommodate the variety of individual needs presented by the people who live there.
  • Supported Independent Living (SIL): supporting people to live on their own in the community.
  • Vic Mahoney Centre (VMC) Day Program:  a Community Participation Program that provides support for recreational opportunities, life skills and community involvement.
  • Supported Employment Services (SES): helping people to find jobs in the community.
  • Passport: supports in your area of interest can be purchased through our Passport services including but not limited to: cooking classes, budgeting, grocery shopping, community activities, job searching. Group outings are now also available.
  • Foundations Program for Transitional Aged Youth: supports individuals’ transition from school to meaningful adult life in the community.
  • Advocacy Support: for people who occasionally need a helping hand.
  • Planning Services: developing person centered plans with you tailored to your dreams and aspirations.

  • We are a non-profit, charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
  • Our services are subsidized by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services

  • Our projected operating budget this year will be approximately 5.6 million.

Community Living Timmins is affiliated with Community Living Ontario and its membership of over 100 local Community Living organizations, and with the Canadian Association for Community Living.
